My first video on Flickr
September 1st, 2008
I recently got a Flip Ultra and have been exploring what you can do with it that goes beyond still photography. I shot this video in California on the highway to San Francisco which was a particularly beautiful drive.
I like how you can hear the music I was listening to and even the GPS. It creates just the right kind of soundtrack for the road. Of course, it was a little awkward holding on to the Flip and the steering wheel at the same time. Probably not the safest thing to do while driving.
Still, it’s a nice way of capturing the scenery and the feel of the road that would have been impossible without a small hand-held camcorder.
Side note #1: I’m not sure why the first few seconds of the video are still. It might be an artifact of the Flip video software.
Side note #2: The song is “It’s Too Late” by Evermore.
Natasha lives in a town nearby a similar town, but of an entirely different nature. She spends her days observing the world around her and trying not to get struck by lightning. Tragically, she cannot draw a perfect circle.
